First post
I will be keeping track of my daily progress towards my 2008 goals and other trials on this blog as well as posting random stuff sometimes I’m sure. This morning I woke up around 8:20 and followed my morning routine to a tee. I got up, put my contacts in, put my clothes and shoes on, and went out for a walk. I walked for about 45 minutes I think, and it was a great way to start the day. I also did a little jogging to avoid being hit while crossing the street, but that wasn’t necessarily planned. After that I came back and fixed myself a fruit smoothie with a banana, some pineapple, ice, orange juice, and some maca powder. Then I did some singing exercices from my Roger Love cd and postulated the specifics of my goals. I am starting them out as 30 day trails (a strategy I’m getting from Steve Pavlina) and will reevaluate at that point. I will go into detail on the different ideas here, but I’ll also list them now…
1. Wake up at 7:30 every day
2. Walk each morning
3. Do one Pimsleur Italian lesson each day
4. 30 minutes of concentrated guitar practice
5. One hour of song writing
In addition to those 30 day goals I am going to have one goal for my first week back at school. From Sunday Jan. 6 to Sunday Jan. 13 I will eat only fruits, vegetables, and nuts. The main reason I am doing this is to transition into a paleo/primal diet, which you can find all you need to know about at Art De Vany’s blog and Mark Sisson’s blog, and of course because it seems like a good challenge.
